~ Oil & Water ~

What people often say is that "oil and water don't mix". It's a common thought that we hold in our mind and we see an example of it every time we make salad dressing.

The human body contains many fluids. The bones and other internal parts need lubrication to function properly. Water has been known to be important to the well-being. There are times when recommended or required amounts of water intake may be difficult to drink. That's when questions arise about lubrication and fluidity of the body. Without lubrication the body becomes less flexible, painful and generally slows down to a gradual . . . stopping point.

Movement is imperative for optimum health and well being. Fluid intake is a key factor in creating movement. Both water and oil maintain the body in ways that create the necessary lubrication. The oils are in two basic categories; from the animal kingdom or the plant kingdom. The mineral kingdom plays a part too. The oils are the carrier for the minerals. Oils and fats are processed on our right side through the liver functions.Water is processed on the left side through the pancreas.

Air and water are so essential to all life and well being that they are rarely overlooked. Air and water are carriers, just as oil is a carrier; each carries elements into the body. Plant oils have factors in common with human fluids and secretion. When oils meet similar internal human fluids the intrinsic and specific elements of the plant make their exchange.

This is not something extraordinary, it happens all the time when we eat our food. All plant foods contains some oils. Those oils make a supportive exchange within our body. Each plant species is different and offers a different essence; like each wildflower in a garden offers a different color, fragrance and vibrational pitch.

When the body is stressed, it's not a matter of which oil to use as much as which form you intake the element. The more the body has to work to digest what it intakes when it's in a stressed condition, the more stress is added. So, consuming heavy foods such as meat when in a stressed or diseased condition is difficult and expends extra human energy to process the food. The same person in the same situation when eating vegetables or plants expends less energy to nourish themself, allowing more ease for the body to create balance again. Either way it expends energy to digest food. A person in an unhealthy, diseased or stressed condition needs more ease -allowing for more health- from consuming foods that use less energy to process. An optimum way they can get the essential elements of the plant into their body is with oils; small amounts of oil.

So, which plants oils do you use? There are so many kinds, the list is almost endless. You may ask your doctor and do your research. Look into essential oils. You may check your grocery shelves and your kitchen cabinet. Here's a list of a few of the food oils readily available:

Widely Available Food Oils

Plant oils are used internally and externally. The benefits are often overlooked, they may appear minute or non-existent but they are supportive in nature. Just as the oils in a plant support the growth and health of the plant; the oils of a plant benefit humans. Each plant has something alive and vital to it's nature, like a spark of life and that is what is transferred. That is what sustains.

There are times in the human life cycle when the quantity of food intake is diminished and the sustenance you get from the food is more important. Eating less food while consuming oil, which is in some ways similar to your internal fluids, allows for a quick exchange and benefit.

So, whether you use food oils or essential oils... they each have their innate qualities, they lubricate and lead to more ease, health and well-being... perhaps you already know which ones will benefit you.
